Other monsters use their charms: mermaids use their voices and vampires offer sexual pleasures, but the myths don't explain what attract people to Medusa. They talk about her threats, but not about her charms. She lives in a remote place, so she must attract people to her cave somehow. Medusa should have a trap, perhaps something similar to a spider's web. Something made from material available in her cave, like the remains of her victims: trash and feathers. Because most of her victims would be small animals, probably birds."
